SEP of Turkey Calls for International Solidarity Amid Government Crackdown

The Socialist Labourers Party (SEP) of Turkey has issued a call for international solidarity following a series of government crackdowns targeting its leaders and members. Amid Turkey's deepening economic crisis and the waning influence of the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP), the far-right government has intensified its efforts to suppress revolutionary movements.

Party leaders and members were detained in early morning raids on 13th of December, with their homes searched, and held in custody for over four days. The AKP government has labeled the party a "terrorist organization" in an attempt to delegitimize its growing influence as a revolutionary alternative rooted in class politics.

In response to these escalating pressures, the Socialist Labourers Party has launched an international petition, calling on revolutionary organizations and allies worldwide to show solidarity and support their struggle against political oppression. The petition, which is available in multiple languages, seeks to unite voices from across the globe to resist these attacks and amplify the fight for socialist struggle in Turkey.

The SEP emphasized the importance of solidarity in a statement:
"The AKP government’s efforts to silence us will not deter our commitment to class politics and revolutionary struggle. We urge our comrades worldwide to join hands with us, raising the flag of resistance and solidarity to overcome this repression together."
