Davood Razavi Needs Urgent Medical Attention

Davood Razavi, an imprisoned member of the board of directors of the Syndicate of Workers of Tehran and Suburbs Bus Company, needs urgent medical attention

Davood Razavi, an imprisoned labour activist and a member of the board of directors of the Syndicate of Workers of Tehran and Suburbs Bus Company, was sent to the Taleghani Hospital on Thursday, August 24, 2023, from the Evin prison for a day.
Based on the results of the medical tests and the approval of a gastroenterologist, Davood Razavi needs to continue treatment and follow a special diet, which is not practical, considering the conditions set in prisons. The Syndicate has issued a series of statements in recent weeks emphasizing that Razavi is in urgent need of treatment outside the prison and considering the prison’s conditions as well as his various health related problems, it is impossible for him to continue enduring imprisonment and must be released immediately. The Syndicate has also condemned the refusal of the judiciary and prison authorities to allow Razavi medical furlough. The Syndicate has called for the freedom of its jailed members, Davood Razavi, Reza Shahabi, and Hassan Saeidi, as well as other jailed trade union activists and political prisoners.
