Breaking news: Reza Shahabi And Hassan Saeedi, The Imprisoned Members of The Syndicate of Workers of Tehran and Suburbs Bus Company, Were Released [Today, September 1, 2024]

Hasan Saeedi and Reza Shahabi, the members of the Syndicate of Workers of Tehran and Suburbs Bus Company, who were arrested on May 12, 2022, and were imprisoned in the Evin prison without a single day of leave, were released this afternoon. According to their lawyers, following the violation of the Supreme Court's decision, the 6-year prison sentence against these imprisoned labours was reduced to 3 years and 6 months, and they were released after their prison term ended, and their cases were closed.

In addition [to the release of the imprisoned members of the Syndicate of Workers of Tehran and Suburbs Bus Company] Mr. Keyvan Mohtadi, a writer, translator, and a labour activist, who had been imprisoned [at the same time with Shahabi and Saeedi on the similar charges] since May 12, 2022, has been released, and we hope that his wife, Mrs. Anisha Asadollahi, a translator and labour activist, will also be released soon.
